a special dinner

Last week, we went to a special dinner to celebrate my seven (7) years here in the United States. Hubby brought me to a very nice local restaurant which was recommended by his workmate. The place is rustic and specializes on prime rib and steaks. As we were checking their menu, we were kind of surprise to see "restaurant equipment for sale" on the last page. We were like, "Oh!" Anyway, the food was so delicious; and the meats were cooked to perfection especially the Prime Rib. Yum! For sure, we will be going back there again. Have a good one all!

Christmas Tree is finally done!

After days of tweaking and refashioning, the Crompton's Christmas Tree for 2011 is finally and completely done; and here it is!

As you can see that I am favoring gold, silver and green this year. This is the first time that I am not using any red (my favorite color, by the way!) in my tree and I tell you, it was truly difficult for me not to put a red ornament on it. It felt like it wasn't right and just didn't come to my complete satisfaction. Not until today! I think I did a great job, right? Now, I can proceed decking the other rooms to my heart's content. We were visiting the local jewelry store at the mall the other day. We seen some new bracelet designs on a TV ad the other day and wanted to see what they were in person. Next to them in the display case was this beautiful diamond necklace. I bet they put it there on purpose. I guess I now have another thing to add to My Dear Santa list. I hope Santa is good to me this year.

I came to realize how hard my husband's job can be so hard on his back. Some days he complains that his back hurts and then other days it is fine. Sometimes he worries it could affect how well he can do his job. I hope that someday he won't have so much problems with his back.

That would cause him to have a discectomy. I think I'll find out what exercises will help prevent such a problem and start him on them. It would be best to prevent it before it really becomes a problem. That's the last thing my husband needs is something that would affect his ability to do his job. Have a good one all!

My Christmas Tree for 2011

That is my Christmas Tree for 2011. It's actually not done yet. It is new for me not to see any red in it since this is the first time that I am favoring a modern look this year. It is all made of gold, silver and green. I am still looking for more ornaments to add in it. Hopefully, I can find them when we go to the store later. Yes, my day today will be all for finding cheap Christmas stuffs made of gold, silver and green. Have a good one all!

hubby's trip to Canada

My husband told me about a vacation road trip he took long before we met to Alberta, Canada. The trip began in Colorado during October of that particular year. It brought through Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Glacier National Park in Montana, and finally, Waterton National Park in Alberta, Canada.

Of course, I would want to go on this type of vacation one day. I would like to see the Prince Of Wales Hotel on the lakes in the park. I’d also like to visit Edmonton because I have friends that are supposed to be living there. I’ve heard through from my relatives that Edmonton is a wonderful place to live. Even my husband has bragged how nice it is there and how considerate the people are. I wonder how it would be to live there. I might just look at to Rent Edmonton for more information about that place and what the cost of living there would be.

Some day one of our vacations should be a trip like that. I’m always interested in new places and how it might be to live in them. Sometimes some places are best visited but I’m sure that there are places that you may visit that would catch your fancy as in a wonderful place to live to. Have a good one all!

Army Life

My husband is in the Army and we just got word that he will be stationed at Fort Campbell in Tennessee in a few months. I am not looking forward to another move, but I know I’ll be tasked with doing all of the research that goes into it. My husband works all the time, so I end up with all of the household responsibility. It is so hard to decide what neighborhood to live in when you are moving to a place you have never even heard of before. I have contacted a few people on post there and they have recommended that we live in Clarkesville. They say it is really nice and not too far away from Ft. Campbell. I started looking for a home for us and it looks promising. I also searched for direct tv clarksville and found some great deals. There is still a lot of work to be done but I’m starting to feel a little less stressed. Sometimes it only takes getting a few tings done to feel like you are making progress. I just need to make sure I stay organized and focused.

My father-in-law will be retiring soon. I know that it is customary to give a retirement gift. I've always heard about the standard gifts that just seem too ordinary and predictable. What we really need is a customized retirement gift for him. I'm thinking something that would put into perspective all his hard years at work. Wouldn't it be great to help send him on a vacation to see the world. It is well deserved because he did work that hard all those years. Best wishes, Dad!

Upon living in San Antonio, Texas for about two years, we immediately learned that the water there is hard that we thought water softeners are a must in every household. That was one of the few first things we took care of right away on our first month there. Now that we're here in Washington State, we are thankful to find out that the tap water here is not as bad as San Antonio. That we can just drink water out right from the faucet. It truly saves us a lot of money. How cool is that, right? Have a good one all!

We were driving down the road the other day and we seen an rv broken down. There was no one there keeping their property safe. I hope they have rv insurance, I thought. It seems like we often see vehicles broken down that have been damaged beyond belief. I know if we buy an rv someday, we will make sure it has good insurance in case we break down and leave it besides the road. Have a good one all!

You know what show I’m totally digging right now? The Killing. It just went off for the season and it airs on AMC which is such a great network but I must say that the season finale left me with more questions than answers. I went on the message boards after it aired to see if everyone else was equally confused and it seems like they were just as much as I was, which made me feel a whole lot better. I was worried I just didn’t get it like I was supposed to! I got a HTTP://DIRECT.TV satellite dish last year and I’ve pretty much been bowled over by everything on AMC since. That’s the network that has Mad Men and it’s got a few other great shows like the Walking Dead and Breaking Bad, which was referred to me by a friend. I love chilling out in front of the TV after a long day at work and I’m glad I’ve got the next season of The Killing to look forward to now!

Relocating to another state is truly stressful. Not only that you have to move your whole house and work but also your whole life, right? Surprisingly, our move here in Washington State is I should say, a breeze. It feels like everything fell into place. Of course, there are ups and downs along the way like finding the best insurance for us. Good thing there is what we call as wholesale insurance which is really a huge help for us. Thanks God! Have you seen the show, Bang For Your Buck on the HGTV Channel? It's one of the shows from the said channel that I really like. The other day, the show featured three outdoor spaces located in Florida. Goodness, I just can't believe how beautiful all the featured spaces were! There was even one where it has not only but two beautiful electric grills. How cool was that! I just can't get over it! Well of course, there's the spectacular pool made of beautiful stones and tiles and all. It is truly made for entertaining the whole family and all. Oh, how I wish we could have that outdoor space, too. It would really be awesome. Well, we never know right? Maybe someday, we can also afford to have one. With God's blessings. Have a good one all!

I just can't help but get jealous of a dear friend who lost a lot of weight in just a matter of 3 months. I was like, "Holy Molly, how did you do it!" She said that she really worked so hard to attain it like doing a lot of exercise and taking off carbs from her diet. My, oh my! I wish I can really do what she did but I just lack the motivation to do it. Sometimes, I will think of taking diet pills that work fast so I can shed off some pounds since I really need to. You see, I am really having a hard time losing weight especially that I am getting older. Did I really say the bad word? Sheesh! Well, I just have to get myself that motivated so I can do what my friend has done and what she has attain. As they say: "if she can do it, I can do it, too!" Right? That will be the day!

You are viewing two of the spectacular shots I took when we went driving up to the breath-taking Mount St. Helens in Washington State last weekend. Awesome, right? I truly found this God's creation absolutely AMAZING! That I just can't help but be in awe and so grateful to have the opportunity to witness it.

The shots are taken from the Johnston Ridge Observatory and from the Hoffstadt Bluffs Visitor Center respectively. It's about an hour drive up to Johnston Ridge Observatory from my home but the beautiful scenery along the way makes up the long drive, I tell you. It truly was worth it!

We have been considering buying an ATV. My husband is already shopping for accessories. One of the things he has been looking is ATV lights. The thing comes with a light but he says that it is not a very good one. I think if we are to get an ATV , it is a great idea to get everything at once. One of the hundred things in my bucket list is to go camping. Yes, I have never been camping in my life. I really want to but the right time has not come yet. Now that we are here in the Washington State, maybe we can do it now that we have all these beautiful camping sites in the area. Well, first thing we had to do is we need to get one of those Sierra Designs Tents. Hubby still has his old camping tent but he said that it is only good for one person. I really hope we can do it this year. Or before the summer ends. What do you think?

Coasts of Oregon and Washington

We went driving and check out the Coasts of Oregon and Washington last Sunday. This is one of the good things that we like in our new home because the ocean is just a 2-hour-drive away. It's summer and yet, the water is still chilly that's why you can't see people swimming in the water yet. Though there were a number of people just hanging out in the beaches we been to. Here are some pics:

Seaside, Oregon - We really like this beach and the city itself. As you go through the main street, its setting is like that of Pier 39 of The Wharf in San Francisco, California. Well, a mini version of it; and when you get to the end of it, you will see this breath-taking picturesque! We are hoping we can go back here before the summer ends and I hope we can have swimming by that time.

a long but fun adventure

I was truly excited during our move from San Antonio, Texas to Washington State. I was more thinking how cool it would be to live in another state again. Yes, this was our second out-of-the-state relocation. During our drive, we passed Los Angeles where we seen so many nice homes. We also went passed one of those California treatment centers. I couldn't help but wonder if there was any Hollywood star I might of heard of there. It seems like there is a lot of that kind of thing these days and I can only pray for the ones that have to go there. Yes, it was a long drive but it was also a fun adventure for sure. I pray that things continues to do well with us here in our new home. Have a good one all!

My goodness! Let me catch my breath first, okay? We just relocated here in Washington State and boy, oh boy what a plight! It was a long journey but we made it here safe and sound. Thanks to God. We are still not done unpacking and putting away our stuff to its right places but we are getting there. Of course, we already checked out some walking trails here in our area since I really love to walk as my form of exercise. I just hope that hubby could work on our Wii so I can workout zumba. I also love this and I truly need it hook up especially when it rains here and I can't do my walking. Oh well! For now, I really need to get on with the unpacking. I think one of the greatest programs that I loved watching on my satellite tv was That Was Then(Check out this cable television comparison.). This show features the life of a man who makes a special computer machine which allows him to go back in time. It is so much fun to watch this program, because to go back in time is truly the dream of so many people. So many of us wish that we could have one more chance to make things right or do things differently. How often do we think that if we had done something differently, then maybe a relationship could be different or we could be with the one we love.

This show definitely offers an insight into how one man deals with his past. This man goes back in time to try to get back the love of his life. He is truly captivated by the girl of his dreams in this show and will do whatever it takes to win her. He loves her so much, yet he feels so sad that he let her go and marry his best friend. Every day he regrets his current life. When he goes back in time, that is what allows him to enjoy life once again with his love. He truly feels at peace when he is with his old girlfriend. I truly love this sci-fi show for its romance.

My husband has to wear uniforms at work. They really look outdated and the business he is in should really show its pride when people see the employees that work there. What they need to do is contact a company that sells a Marcus lab coat. I really think with the proper image, they can increase their business and we know that is good for my husband’s paycheck. it's baby shower time!

I have a friend who is planning a baby shower for a common friend pretty soon. There seems so much to do and so little time to get it done. I think we are just going to choose the club house near where we live to have the event, send off for some ready made up invitations and supplies from eco baby shower invitations, and with any luck, all the hard work will be already done for us. We are all looking forward to getting all the girls together and having a great time celebrating our friends’ new baby. I wonder if it’s going to be a girl or a boy. What do you think, guys?

I used to work in a doctor’s office as a receptionist but thought I should maybe take it to the next level. Maybe, I can become a medical assistant by going to medical assistant school. I decided to go back to my walking and running in the park again. Actually, I really have been planning on this for weeks but my allergies were just so bad for the past weeks. Good thing, I have found an allergy medicine which seems to work well with me. Yay! So, yesterday was my first day to walk/run for this year. As I was on it along the trails at Herberger Park, I realized how I missed it and how much I really liked it. Hopefully, I can be on it for a longer time than last year. We will see how it goes. I recently have finished getting my driver’s license. The first thing we had to do is find cheap auto insurance for both me and my husband. It is getting more expensive to own and drive a car. The price of gas keeps going up and cars are not getting cheaper. The best thing we can hope for is to find a good policy at the right price to keep our cost down. I’ll be shopping online and with some luck, I’ll find the right insurance. Have a good one all!

My friend, Arlyn is going to have her baby twins soon. If I remember it right, she's due on September. I am so glad for her. Imagine, not just one but two blessings from above. That's why, I am already planning a baby shower for her at this early stage and hopefully, many of our friends can join this celebration. I know it's kinda late but still I just want to post this picture of my simple family. This was taken last Easter Sunday after we attended the Holy Mass at the Holy Catholic Church. The church was fully packed but good thing, we were there 30 minutes before the mass started. We were able to have a prime seat that early morning.

Yes, we had a great Easter eventhough my little daughter had a little cold that time that we just stayed at home the whole day. The most important thing is we were able to attend the mass, right? Anyway, I wish that you had a Happy Easter celebration with all your loved-ones. Have a good one all!

shopping is getting more fun!

We have been looking for a place to do our online shopping that is affordable even after it is shipped to your door. The price of fuel has been going up and it is getting more expensive to travel to all these places and do your shopping. Then again, we love to do our window shopping and all. Just the same, there are those things you use from day to day that you get tired of running around and finding.

Things like our sonicare replacement heads for our tooth brushes can be bought with other items like it and sent right to the door, instead of going to the store just for that stuff. It seems like we don’t buy groceries at the same store where you would find those other day to day items. My husband has problems with his hands hurting. It would be great to just order up online arthritis gloves instead of making a special trip to the store for just that.

I’m really looking forward to getting a list together and watching it arrive at my door; and cutting our shopping in the store/mall down to a minimum. The crowds are really bad anyway and we always have to wait in long lines. Of course, I will always want to do my personal shopping at the mall. It is fun and this will mean I will have more time for the fun shopping. Have a good one all!

I really think it is time to find something to melt my fat away. I am really tired of trying all those online diets and really not getting the results I’m looking for. I recently started one of those exercise programs on our game center and it has helped me to be more positive about weight loss. What I really need to do is add a product like OxyElite Pro to my program because I had a friend tell me it really works. Time to lose the weight I want to has not come and I’m excited to get a good weight loss program going on. Have a good one all!

We have been out shopping for a car recently. What a task it has been! We have been looking at German cars and of course, our favorite brand of Chevrolet. We are getting ready to pay off our Tahoe and when that is done, we will get into a more current car. It seems the car of choice is going to be the Chevrolet Cruze.

Isn't she beautiful? We have found the model we like and we are trying now to see what kind of deal we can get on one. It has been a very popular car this year and they are selling fast. We really hope we can find the one we like and then get the price we are looking for. Sometimes, it takes a lot of time to decide but it is a big purchase and we want to make the right choices. It has been a long time since we have giving gifts to people in our family for things like my husband’s brothers birthday. It was really agreed awhile back that we would just gift the children in our lives. My husband’s brother has his 40th birthday coming up soon and we really think that this would be a good time to give him a gift. He has been in the military in the past and we thought it would be nice to buy him a military challenge coin. It is really a fun thing to do but it also recognizes the fact that he did serve our country with honor. 30 lbs to shed...

My husband has been on a diet for some time now. He knows a diet is only as effective as you make it and it seems he really can lose more than 10 lbs. I know that life is busy and we do have to try harder to live healthier and have better eating habits. I think the one thing that would motivate my husband to lose more is to see more pounds come off with the help of a diet pill like adapexin-p. If he could only get past the 10 lbs he has lost and move on to 20 lbs then I think his goal of 30 lbs is achievable. Only time will tell and we all realize it is hard and would encourage anyone who is losing weight to get the support they need to achieve their goals.

My cousin, Ruby who lives in Hawaii has just got engaged. The wedding is set for next year. That is good so they have a lot of time to prepare for the grand occasion. My husband is over 40 now and I’m approaching the big 40 soon. It seems so scary to think time is flying by this fast. With age comes problems. We can only pray that we will do our best to take care of ourselves so we do live a long healthy life. I’m currently looking into what additional things we can expect after 40 and what we can do to live a healthy lifestyle. The biggest of course is exercise and healthy eating. I really pray we can change our lifestyle to live within our means of healthy living. Of course, healthy means we enjoy some things in our personal life as long as we can. We just need to pay attention to our health because we don’t want something like symptoms of low testosterone affecting my husband. He would be so heartbroken for sure. That's my dare devil bug! This was taken last Saturday at Ingram Mall. Every time we are there and we pass this area, she seems to be fascinated with this trampoline. She would always cheer for the kids who are jumping. You can't help but laugh at her giggles watching the kids on the trampoline.

Last week, my husband took her in that area while I was doing my thing in the shopping mall. Then, hubby texted me to let me know that our little girl will try the trampoline. So, off I went to watch the said event. And there she was, jumping to her heart's content with all her giggles and shrieks. We just can't help but laugh with her reaction. She said that it was fun. Yes, it was fun indeed that she kept talking about it for days. She hopes she can do it again soon and she said that she will flip over the next time. Really?

I just got my driver's license in the mail the other day and I am so glad on it. Though, I don't care much for the picture there but oh well! I have been driving our little old car right now mostly to run errands like doing groceries and fetching my daughter to and from school everyday. I am really proud for this. It (having a driver's license) is indeed, a great accomplishment.

Now, what is next to do? That's what I have been considering the past few days. I figured that it is time to go back to work. Yes, it is time for me to find a job. I prefer a part time one since I have my daughter to take care of. So, I am hoping that I could find a nice job soon. Wish me luck, my friends please? It has been almost a year and yet, my husband has not installed our TV set in our bedroom. Have you seen American Idol last night? What a shocker, right? I really can't believe that Pia Toscano got voted out. It's crazy! I think it was the saddest elimination of all time. The first thing that we noticed when we got here in San Antonio was how humid the area is. It was summer of 2009. We were kind of worried because we have a daughter with asthma and we do not know how her lungs would handle the moisture. Everybody had advised us to buy a dehumidifier to lower the moisture in tha air. We were like, "Okay, but we have to wait until we can get our daughter seen by a pulmonologist." How long has it been since that time? It has been two years almost. Now, we are adjusting better with the humidity and the heat. Or should I say, my daughter and I are lovin' it but my husband? (shrug)

Yes, I got a new do! Finally! I had been planning for this since late last year and it was just last weekend that I got done with it. I went to North Star Mall and I went to the first hair place called Regis Salon that I found in the said mall. I was kind of hesitant at first but I said to myself: "The heck!!!"

I told the gay hair stylist what I want and viola, after two hours, I finally had blondie highlights in my newly trimmed hair. It felt good and I feel great! I really like that hair stylist and I am sure he likes me as a client since I gave him an extravagant tip. Well, he deserved it. Hopefully, I can still see him when I go back there next time. I think my husband is taking an interest in a new hobby. We have a friend who is in wood working and I know my husband used to do it as well when he was younger. I saw him the other day in the store looking at cutting tools for his wood working project. I really wonder what he might build. I hope it’s a kitchen table or a few cool chairs but I know it would take many more tools than he has now. Maybe we just start off easy and see what he comes up with. My husband and I have noticed that our little girl is a social butterfly. I mean, she is never shy. I believe she got that trait from hubby's family because I know that my family are the hesitant and reserved type. Well, I think that that is a good thing, right? I am actually thanful for that but still as parents, we still have to guide her so that she can use that trait in a good way.

She can really entertain, I tell ya! She has been telling me that she participated in the talent show at her school the other day and that she sang, Miley Cyrus' song, The Last Song. I was like, really? Hmm, I have to check about that in school one of these days just to see if she really is telling the truth because you know how five year olds are. We have all heard by now about the tragedy in Japan. We all send our prayers to them in their time of need. One of things already happening here is that we are running in short supply the goods we import from Japan. It really shows how important it is for us to rely on ourselves for goods and services. I see the sudden need for more manufacturing jobs in our county. What would be great is if we could employ more of our people here at home. I know the issue is a complicated one but it doesn’t hurt to wish and hope especially for our children’s sake in the future. I wish for the right choices and decisions from those in charge. Just the same, we wish the best for all the people in Japan.

I have been plagued by allergies for days now. Sheesh, this is the first time I have experienced this kind of thing in my almost 7 years here in the United States. I didn't know how itchy eyes could be with allergies until now. My husband keeps telling me not to itch them but I just can't help it. They are so itchy! They are blood shed red and so swollen right now. Ugh! To add, here goes the non-stop sniffles and sneezes. Good Lord, when will this end?

We have just learned that San Antonio is really bad for allergies. You think? I am already taking Claritin for days now and it seems like it's not doing a thing at all. We were at the mall the other day and our daughter had to of course, check out the rest rooms there. We encourage her to wait until we are home but sometimes you just can’t wait. When we were done and washed our hands, we went to dry them in these new style hand dryers. Wow, they were very loud! I am sure it scared our daughter because it scared me. They work very well and they were fast. Good for them to install fast and convenient drying devices to save energy. I’m sure our daughter will probably wait until we are home next time if she can because she really didn’t like the noisy new devices, for sure.

YES, I am officially a licensed driver! I took the actual driving test last Monday and thanks to God, I made it! Whew, what a huge sigh of relief! It really is long overdue. I put driving aside for how many years until the BIG fear has caught up on me. I tell you, the driving lesson paid off well! I mean it is expensive but so worth it.

Do you know what my first driving assignment was? Well, I ran errands the next day - did some grocery shopping on Tuesday morning that we didn't do last weekend; and I also brought my daughter to see her doctor in the afternoon since she had a fever Monday night and had complained about ear aches and sore throat. I was really hesitant to do drive all the way there since it's kinda far - about 30 to 45 minutes depending on the traffic. But I made it! Going back was a little tricky but we made it home safe and sound. That was what me and my daughter said as soon as we pulled on our driveway, WE MADE IT AND THANKS TO GOD! Have a good one all!

We were out on the lake last summer and noticed that our radio in the boat started to have bad sound quality. When we did our winter maintenance, the radio had quit working all together. We immediately thought that we would have to spend a lot of money fixing it until we discovered that it was just the speakers that had failed. The water had gotten into them and they fell apart. Our first question is why the boat company put non marine speakers in it. Well, I know we don’t want to give up our music while on the lake. We will go get ourselves the right speakers this time and maybe if we contact the company who built the boat, they could help with the cost. It is wishful thinking but who knows? Just the same we are looking forward to a summer of fun.

We had a conversation with my father-in-law the other day about the rising cost of health care. He has reached the age where he is now receiving Medicare. One of the biggest things he immediately noticed is that it doesn’t cover everything he needs it to and he is paying that much more out of his pocket for his bills that are not covered. We did some research and noticed that there are some really good medicare supplement plans. Hopefully, we will be able to help him find a good plan so that he can spend more money enjoying retirement and less on health care. Have a good one all!

on Central Texas Driving School

I went to Central Texas Driving School for about 10 sessions. Each session consist an hour and cost $50.00. We initially planned for 8 sessions but I opted for another 2 to make me more comfortable especially dealing with a lot of traffic. I am so thankful that my instructor, Mr. Wise is really that wise and very patient with me being a person who hasn't any clue with driving. He taught me the basics and some techniques in driving; and shared with me a lot of inputs while maneuvering a car. I tell you, all the inputs that he shared really helped me a lot to overcome my fear in driving.

Yes, I was able to pass my actual driving test and thanks to Mr. Wise of Central Texas Driving School. However, I can't say otherwise for the people on the front desk of that driving school. They are snotty and don't even say hi as you get in the office. We had a problem with the hours at one point coz the lady at the desk insisted that we should take a certain hour when contradicted my usual schedule. Hubby and I were so upset that time because we are the customers, right? And they should be the one who will conform with my customer's schedule and not the other way around.

Well, that's in the past. I am just so glad and thankful I am now a licensed driver. Thanks to God and To God Be The Glory!

My new motorcycle vest

When I told my roommate that I really wanted a motorcycle vest, he thought that I was crazy. I tried to explain to him that they're kind of in style now but he lives in his alma mater's t-shirts and sweatpants and doesn't change his style for anything. In other words, he doesn't really keep up with fashion.

But I told my friend Alex who actually works at Urban Outfitters and knows what's in style and he said that he would be on the lookout for me for finding one. The thing was though, that every time I tried to find a new one in that style online with my SatelliteInternetBroadband, they were just so expensive and I didn't need one that badly to spend that much on something that I wouldn't be using every day.

But I tried to see if I could find one in some vintage shops and found one that was just like I wanted in one of them! I already wore it to a party and got lots of compliments on it from girls.

I have been learning to drive and soon will be able to take my driving test. I can’t help but think about what kind of car or SUV I would like to be driving in the future. We have an older car right now and it is good to drive, but not as exciting as a newer car. So I figure it’s time to do a little dreaming. I really like the Chevrolet Equinox. It’s a smaller SUV and it would be easier for me to drive. I have found out I like smaller for now and will just have to work into bigger cars later maybe.

I told my hubby my dream car and he only has said we will just have to see what we can afford. I also like Volkswagen Jetta, Passat, and the new Rabbit. Whatever car it may be in our future, I hope we can find a good one. I’m so excited to almost be driving and soon will be able to pass my driving test with flying colors. It will be really cool to go to the mall, all on my own. Way to go, ME!

for hubby's knee pains..

My husband really has a hard job. Sometimes when he comes home from work his knees hurt really bad from all the bending and twisting he has to do all day. I think a good gift for him would be knee sleeves. It is a type of knee brace that will still allow all the movement he needs to do his job. I’m really surprised they don’t require more safety equipment for his job because he is always coming home with some type of muscle soreness. I’m hoping this helps him because we want him to be healthy and be able to enjoy his life even after work is over.

The one thing we like to do is to eat out a lot. I know it’s a really bad habit but we live in a city where there is so many good places to eat. One of the things I think would be helpful if we are going to continue our habit is learning how to suppress appetite. There has to be a way we still can enjoy eating out without eating too much. The restaurants are not very helpful with the full menus but that is what people really want. We are hoping to make the changes necessary in our lives to lose weight and also enjoy our favorite places to eat out. Wish us luck.

We need to get a new thing to weigh ourselves with. Our scales have decided to not work as well as it used to. It seems it says we weigh more than we really do. I was wondering why I wasn’t losing any weight. Well, the thing wasn’t that far off. Just the same, it was not reading correctly. I told my husband to get down to the local retailer and get us a new one. That way I can track my weight loss progress and my husband can be proud of his weight loss as well. There is nothing more frustrating than trying to lose weight and you can keep track of it correctly, right? Have a good one all!

I have spent some time working on how to lose stomach weight. I really am proud to say with my exercise program and my walking in the park that by the end of this summer, I will be looking and feeling a whole bunch better. I had to make big diet changes but it has all been worth it. I never thought as you get older that weight is so hard to lose. I know it will be worth it in the long run for a healthier and longer life to come. I recommend this to anyone because so far it’s been very rewarding to me.

My daughter and I were just taking a breather from all the walking we did in that outdoor mall while my hubby was at the Apple Store for his appointment. He complained on his messed up iPhone which we just bought two months ago. Good thing, they gave him a brand new one. Sweeeeettt!!!

We really like to hang out in this mall for there are lots to see and we just love all the water features there. It also have almost all of my favorite shops. I can't wait to go there again and hopefully, I can really go shopping by that time! Have a good one all!

a new favorite restaurant

We went to Panchito's, a local restaurant the other night that we had never been to. This place was recommended by hubby's co-worker. The food was so good that you couldn’t help but just eat too much. It was one those restaurants that you really need to take Appetite suppressant diet pills before you go. There was a band and the atmosphere was wonderful. We had a great dinner and suddenly realized time was flying by and it was time to go. I know we will return in the near future for our fill of wonderful food from our new favorite restaurant. Have a good one all!
